Post values of check boxes in AUI treeview

Is it possible to add tree view in a form and post the values of the check boxes while submitting the form.

I've looked over the in 6.1 and it doesn't look like it. That said it doesn't look hard to add it.

I would prefer to have Liferay update alloy-ui though since this could be useful for many.
