Add the following to your portal-ext.properties
For reference, the default values are:

wiki.formats.default=html

Does the wiki in Social Office 1.5b support mediawiki? It's not listed in the portal.properties for 5.2.3.

Hi Nick,
Social Office 1.5b was built on Liferay Portal 5.2 CE, and MediaWiki was not introduce as a syntax style until Liferay Portal 6.0 CE (GA). So unfortunately, Social Office 1.5b does not support MediaWiki syntax but will in future versions.

Sorry, I've misread the ticket. MediaWIki is not in any currently released CE versions. It will first appear in Liferay Portal 6.1 CE GA which is not yet released.
So, the next version of Social Office CE (scheduled to be release based on Liferay Portal 6.1 CE) will have this as an option.
