IPC in Liferay 7.x

Hi,
I am new to Liferay. I got IPC working on Liferay 6.2 . Now I am trying the same on Liferay 7.x and I am unable to get it working. Due to very limited resources online for Liferay 7.x , I would appreciate if anyone can guide me to get this working. I used IPC with ajax in Liferay 6.2

When having problems with code, it also helps simplifying it and posting a small version of your problem. On stackoverflow it's called MCVE. Especially as you ask to be guided to get this working, please let us know where to pick you up and post code (simplified please)
