Hi all,

We are facing a very strang issue within liferay and non of our searches nor our tests showed any soltution for this yet.
Our current LR is : Liferay Portal Community Edition 6.2 CE GA6 (Newton / Build 6205 / January 6, 2016)

The situation is, that sometimes a non-logged user get's a page displayed with a "logged-in" banner, usually from a different user.

We could reproduce this by doing the following:
1) Open browser
2) Log in (and select remeber-me)
3) close the browser
4) Re-open a new browse (same type)
5) Browse the site (usually the login is retained trough the remeber-me, not always)
6) Log out
7) Browse the site
After a couple of retries, we end up in the situation that on some pages, we see again the login banner with the previous name altough we are corrently logged out. After a couple of time (~10minutes) the page then suddenly is displayed correctly.
We mainly faced this issue using Internet Explorer, but are not 100% sure if it's related or not.

We asume that somehow the LR is caching the site and serving the wrong content,

browser.cache.signed.in.disabled=true and browser.cache.disabled=true are both set and we have checked the headers, so we can asume that it's not related to any browser or proxy-cache

Did anyone face the same problem? What would be the best way to debug such an issue?

Many Thanks and best regards,

Marc

What are the components of your infrastructure?

What load balancer are you using? Do you have sticky sessions enabled, session replication, etc?

Are you using a caching appliance such as Varnish or is your LB doing edge caching?
