Issue with Japanese search in liferay

Hi,
Liferay search reads the PDF & gives the matching keywords from PDF content as well in the results.
This works fine for English but for Japanese contents of the PDF this is not working fine. The results does not include those contents having Japanese text inside PDF.
Kindly let me know if there is any way to achieve the same.
