See the front page for the poll (it's on the right) and cast your vote! This thread is for comments on the poll. I'll post the results when the poll expires (Feb 15).

I would like to take this opportunity to have a discussion on the time when Liferay Live webcast are being held.
I understand the problem of setting on a suitable time for a Global community but i think the regular 18:00 UTC could be tweaked.
Of course it's also dependable on unknown data such as; Who was interested until now and who can/will be in the future.
Maybe a poll on tis subject would be a nice start.
World Clock Meeting
A major thing is that when you miss out on a Live cast, we sometimes have to wait weeks before it's is being uploaded.

The nice thing about having it at the *same* time each time is that it becomes a regular weekly occurrence that you can plan for, without having to look up the time each week.
Are you suggesting we try to determine where the largest audience would be for given topic, and hold it at a "convenient" time for that particular locale?
Or did you just want it to be at a different time (e.g. slightly earlier or later) for you?

No I support 1 time for all.
I suggest an investigation on what would be the best global time.
For me indeed it is a unconvenient time,
but i think 1 or 2 hours later will include Australia.
There (Asia) will always be a problem.

Now i'm at it.... or am i hijacking this thread ?
Since we are all mobile nowadays maybe a mobile stream would be an asset too.
On my 3G network it is a heavy (and expensive) load.

New poll is up at liferay.org.
It seems I can watch previous replays on my iPhone pretty easily. I wonder if its possible to watch it live on my mobile. I'll try it today.

James - how was it, did it work? The ability to (easily) watch it on your mobile phone would definitely be an added bonus.

Nope - didn't work. The live app is Flash-based, so iPhones and iPads are out. Blame Apple and Adobe! You can still watch replays on i* devices though.
Anyone with a Flash-enabled mobile device should be able to watch live though.

FYI, the results are in for the "desired topics" for LIVE (see below). And as part of this, the #3 item was "Development", so next week Greg Amerson will do a live presentation on the latest Liferay IDE and how to develop with ease with Liferay. We are working on the other top ones (Core APIs, Workflow, Mobile, etc). So stay tuned!
