Remove user help

I can add users to social office just fine.....but when I uncheck to remove them and hit save I get "portlet temporarily unavailable"

When you get that message there will be a corresponding error in the log file. That is what you need to look for to resolve.

Can you tell me where the log file is located?

you can check logs under liferay-portal-{}\tomcat-{}\logs
and liferay-portal-{}\logs
