How to override property layout.user.private.layouts.*

Properties layout.user.private.layouts.* are set at server scope in portal.properties and portal-ext.properties. I want to disable them and enable any of them when I need to, maybe using a role. How can I do that?

If it's not possible, will it be possible in a near future?

It isn't possible currently, and is not currently in our road map to support. If it's very important for you, you can always file a ticket and include a recommended fix and we can add it to the queue.
