Liferay 6.2 EE license issue

I was doing a re-install of Liferay 6.2 EE on a development server and I had copied the ${liferay.home}/data/license directory from the old install into the new installation, but for some reason the license could not be read correctly, I am getting the following error:

14:52:01,266 ERROR [localhost-startStop-1][LicenseManager:?] Failed to read license file /opt/liferay/liferay-portal-6.2-ee-sp3/data/license/serverId
java.io.StreamCorruptedException: invalid stream header: 31116ABB

Anyone run into this error before?

I think, you would be better to contact your Liferay representative directly with this problem.

Hi all,

I realise that this is a really old thread but I've run into the same issue and although there are a number of threads with this error there doesn't appear to be any resolution listed.

Would anyone care to update this thread with the fix for this particular issue?

The fix is to contact your sales rep and get an updated license file.
