Users are indexed really slow after import

Hi,

We're using liferay 5.2.2. We have 10000 users that get imported. It takes over 5 hrs to index them into the system. I was wondering if anybody else has experienced this with the Lucene indexer. Why is Lucene indexing so slow?

Is there any way to improve the performance of the lucene indexer?
