Use keeps getting emailed about "New Blogs Comment"

Hello,
One of the users of our site keep getting the following email message

Dear XXXX YYYYY,

commented on your Blog.

http://www.oursite.com/web/username/blog/-/blogs/blog-title

Sincerely,
Webmaster
[e-mail]

But when I checked there are no comments on the blog post that referenced in the email. The user is getting an increased number of these messages, up to one every minute. Anyone know why these messages would be being generated, while no comments are being added to the post?

What version of Liferay are you using? it only happens with one user?

We are experiencing the same issue. But using LR 5.1.2

I think I know what might be happening. People are posting trackbacks to your blog posts which leaves a comment and therefore emails you. But if the trackback is spam(ie they don't reference your blog in their post), the comment is deleted. A trackback verifier checks all new trackback posts every 5 minutes or so.

Try disabling trackbacks for that specific blog and see if the emails stop.

edit the blog post, then uncheck "Allow incoming trackbacks".

If using 5.2.3, you can turn off globally with:

blogs.trackback.enabled=false
