liferay 522: how can I use flash from my documents?
New Member Mensajes: 13 Fecha de incorporación: 4/01/09 Mensajes recientes
I found these sites:
pantechusa
and
cisco.com
you see that they used flash in their sites but I can not show my flash not only from document nor in journal articles.
I saw only blank white screen.
only if I put webdav address I saw them but each time with page refresh I need to put admin password for showing them.
I need a solution for showing them to the guest users.
Can u help me with a practical and clear way for using swf and even flv files in portal?
thanx

Hi again;
I solved my problems:
1: instead using this address:
http://localhost:8080/c/document_library/get_file?p_l_id=10689&folderId=12936&name=DLFE-201.swf
I used this:
http://localhost:8080/c/document_library/get_file?uuid=9fd63585-98a4-400c-af3b-7697ef73b4de&groupId=14
2: Edit Permissions for Document Library Document: 99x91.swf
I allowed view to all groups:

now flash portlet and journal article shows the flash but now I don't know which code is the best for showing flash?
Code 1 or 2 or 3 or there is not any diffrences between these codes at all?

Hello,
you have installed Flash 10 aren't you? Adobe changed their policy (see Adobe Flash 10 policy changes). So here comes few "problems". We've solved this "somehow" ;) and as I remember it was commited to Liferay 5.2.1.
(I'm watching this thread for now.)
Feel free to send me mail...

dear Milan Jaroš,
thanx fro your reply
1-please give me a practical way for solving my problem for Lf522.
I need exact compiled classes and where as i must replace with other files, I am not expert, please give me the way and right solution.
which files and where I must change in Liferay 522?
2-I checked some of our stations, some of them have Flash 9 but can not show my flashes.
3-there is a website for mpire which is a liferay portlet maker, their site is with liferay but I can not see their flashes just like my problem,
Do you know anything about this?

Please confirm this:
So you are using LFR 5.2.2? What flash-player (Shockwave) do you have installed? Isn't it realy working with Flash 9?
Can I access that page somehow?
Maybe the problem is somewhere else...

Well, it seems you have different kind of problem that we have face to. But I can try to give you some tips how to move forward. So, it is important to test just address of your flash (http://localhost:8080/c/document_library/get_file?uuid=9fd63585-98a4-400c-af3b-7697ef73b4de&groupId=14). I think you know that but I still don't know if you have tried this from all that stations and with both logged on and logged off statuses. This will tell us if there is some kind of error in code or something else. ;)
But I don't think I'm telling you something new.
This is just first thing that I would test...

even in portal-ext.properties I add parametries:
#
# MySQL
#
jdbc.default.driverClassName=com.mysql.jdbc.Driver
jdbc.default.url=jdbc:mysql://localhost/lportal?useUnicode=true&characterEncoding=UTF-8&useFastDateParsing=false
jdbc.default.username=root
jdbc.default.password=root
please help me again and describe me how to solve this problem?
Liferay will save localhost for all the data, Directories and files and ...?
Must I change all addresses to new IP or ther is a simple solution for this problem?

We had this problem with flash not showing up for guest. It was because we put the flash in document library and guest does not have permissions to view document library by default. Turn on this permission.

I think he was facing another kind of problem. So as he told he resolved it but at the last time he had a problem with addressing (?).
But thank you for your notice... ;) It is good to remember permissions all the time with problems like this.
