How to change favicon in Liferay 6.1.1 and Tomcat 7.0.27

Dear,

I'd like to change default Liferay icon in the windows tab with my own icon.
After reading some articles, maybe I have to change favicon.ico.

I'm using Liferay 6.1.1 and Tomcat 7.0.27.
I replaced favicon.ico in tomcat/webapps/root directory, but it does not work.

Appreciate for any support to resolve this issue.

You should have to make your own theme, and there you can overwrite the existing favicon
