We're running LifeRay under Glassfish at the moment for development and I'm just working through the deployment issues.

There are a huge number of files in generated/jsp/liferay-portal dating back as far as when we first started playing with LifeRay. I'm assuming that it's pretty safe to delete the older files but what's the accepted policy for doing so? If these build up in this way then can we have an automated process to tidy them up when possible?

Obviously there may be technical issues in this but that's why I'm asking.

In glassfish-web there are some parameters in <jsp-config> where you can tell glassfish to keep jsp in memory (keep-generated or somethin).
