Deployment

i presume this is one of the most fundamental question. Suppose i have developed a site with the required portlets,themes,layouts,hooks,user groups,roles etc etc .
i want to host it in a liferay hosting site. Do i need to export everything or is there a way to deploy my project ???

I haven't done it before but I think this might work.
Run "Data Migration" located under Control Panel ->Server Administration to migrate DB content then deploy war files on the hosting site.

you can deploy the war files of themes,layout,hooks,portlets etc in a liferay hosting site. And you can create the lar file(from the Existing site) means export for the pages that you have created and that you can import it,
