any ideas? This is a weblogic/mysql install that is 5.1.2 that was compiled from source/ext with the only change in the ext environment is for the search portlet. The only other thing that is different about this one is that it's precompiled jsps for weblogic. I'm going to recreate the db structure to see if that fixes it but I don't think it's it... Thanks for the help!

No dice with DB.... But I get this now when try to login.... btw I'm using test@liferay and test.... and no other auth

Ok... It looks as though it was related to the weblogic.xml.. I was trying to override it in my ext with a new 9 version and it must have been causing conflicts.... I removed it from my ext and it worked ok...

I'm getting the same exception, with Liferay 5.5.2, Oracle XE, glassfish 3.

I though the problem is related to data base data, because with Hypersonic works fine. You are saying the problem in your case was because of wrong application server xml descriptors?
