Export/Import Wiki content
Expert Mensajes: 490 Fecha de incorporación: 9/06/08 Mensajes recientes
Hello,
we would like to maintain certain information in a Wiki, but the information should be prepared "off-line", i.e. on a different system (actually in a different network as well).
I thought I could use the Export/Import functionality to move the Wiki page (and the Wiki contents) to the second system.
But it seems that when I use the Export feature from within "Manage pages" it exports my whole community, not just the selected page.
I don't need to export the page structure, that can be re-created manually, but I need to export the Wiki contents somehow and get it over to the other installation.
Is there any way I can do this, through Liferay or do I have to revert to a database export/import?
Thanks
Thomas

Hi,
Wiki portlet has a configuration page. There you can configure permissions and also ex/import your content.
Have you tried that?
kind regards
Tobias

I didn't expect a configuration page to have export/import ability...
Works nice so far, thanks

Go to the Wiki portlet, click the "Configuration" icon. Click
"Export/Import" tab. Choose your options. Click "Export".

I think the import/export of the wiki doesn't work well. At least in our liferay if I import/export a whole community, all the data is copied except the wiki content and the permissions. Using only the wiki export/import tool happened the same.
I'm using liferay 5.1.1.

Hi,
I attached a screenshot of the wiki portlet configuration page (5.2.2). There is no Export/Import tab....
I'm viewing this as the only user in the system, the administrator....
Is there a setting somewhere to activate this tab?

Just realized one has to go in the control panel and not the portlet configuration for that.

First off, Im an idiot =)
I am running 5.2 as well and do not see where the export of the wiki is except when going to the communities section and exporting there.
I have a wiki I am trying to use as a templete that will be imported for new communties prefilled but I cannot get it to work.
I go to control panel -->communities-->manage pages-->private pages-->export etc to save locallly and the go to control panel-->communities-->manage pages-->private pages of a different community -->import and ALWAYS get an error..
What am I doing wrong after having so much coffee? =)
Thanks
