Web Analytics (viz. piwik, woopra) support for liferay based INTRANET?

Hi,

Is there any support provided by liferay that, how to use web analytics for intranet?

I searched various blogs, forums but did not find how we can use analytics for an intranet. Some pointer i found that using piwik its possible.
But again it is not supporting server like tomcat7.0 because piwik is using PHP. It would be great if some one can share his/her views on the same.

Depends upon what kinds of analytics you're looking for...

There is of course the google analytics. If you have EE you can use auditing for granular types of info.

Since, my intranet is not open on web so we cannot pass the information of pages to outside world.
Hence, we want any open source analytics that could we host on our own server (tomcat7.0).
May be (guessing) piwik can help but i don't know how..
