Liferay document library & MS Office

Hi all!

did anyone get MS Office link in document library working?

I can see the MS Office link, but when I click on it, it doesn't do anything

I've tested with IE 9, IE 8 and IE 7

What Liferay version? Any javascript errors in console?

Liferay version is 6.0.12 EE. And there isn't javascript errors (I'm testing with IE 8)

Was this working before in your environment? What windows client are you using (XP,Vista...)?

I've never seen working before. I'm using WinXP and MS Office 2007

Does that documents have view permission for Guest?

Try to change digest_auth to basic_auth in liferay_web.xml and redeploy....

So are you able to perform inline editing of Office documents now? That is, you can click Edit, change the document, and save it back to the document library without ever getting prompted to enter your credentials?

No, It still prompts to enter my credentials

Yes, same here. I'm giving up on this in v6.0 and will look into CMIS in v6.1 sometime after SP1 comes out.

BTW, there is a known bug which breaks editing documents from Office in Win XP, using 6.1 GA WebDav. Hopefully it will get fixed soon.
