Issue connecting wit LDAPS in Liferay 6.2

Hi ,
I ma trying to configure LDAPS on liferay 6.2 CE GA6 version and it fails. LDAP on port 389 works fine. I have imported the root certificate in the cacerts , but still the issue persists.
Did anyone get through this? If so , please share your solution.

What error do you get?

there is no log generated anywhere. This was in the UI screen. Whenever I use LDAPS , and click test connection it fails. I dont see any logs for this.
