Hardening guide for Tomcat standalone installation

Reaching out to see if anyone has put together a security hardening guide for tomcat standalone (not bundled) that works with Liferay CE 7.0.

Hmm, I'm not sure such a guide exists.

I'd look for a generic hardening guide for tomcat (non liferay), then work on deploying Liferay into that container.

That should get you where you need to be.

Check out Olaf's blog series on Securing Liferay. The material applies whether you are using the bundle or installing the portal manually. The material was written for Liferay Portal 6.2, however, most of the advice can be applied to 7.0 as is.
