Forum View: Flat vs. Tree vs. Combination

I posted a poll on liferay.org (lower right) asking about preferences for viewing individual threads. We used to have this feature before the upgrade, and before we bring it back, we want to know what style of viewing is preferred. If a big majority prefer the flat (default) view, we may just not bring it back (saves us time!). Or if there is some other clever way to view threads, we can look at that (but anything super-fancy, and involving tons of customization and massive javascript hacks probably won't get done).

Why not make it optional like before?

Well if I ask you "do you want this additional, optional feature which you may or may not use" the answer will always be "yes"

So I want to see how many people would actually use said feature.

I think that the majority prefer the flat (default) view, so there won't a need to bring it back. I suppose it could be real.

It's sometimes nice to view in the tree view to find who is replying to who's post.

i liked it the way it was before . it was pretty convenient. besides, i don't like changes nobody does. but i guess improvements show the moving forward!
