there is no 'installed Plugin SDKs' after uncompress the IDE

May I met a very basic issue but it hang me long time. as the guild, I put IDE files in eclipse folder and go to load SDK. but there is no installed Plugin SDKs item.

When you create a project you'll be able to add the SDK.

Hello Zeke,

Liferay IDE didn't have "Installed SDKs" item since IDE 3.0.0 or greater.

The first time to create a new sdk project then it will be required to set your sdk location before pressing finish button in New Liferay Plugin Project wizard. And now every eclipse workpsace can only contain one liferay plugins sdk.

Hi..how you solved this problem?...when i add folder sdk location i receive error....even i use file/import....i receive error:..” it.s not valid location’’..what i missing?...

Can you post your entire error message that you are receiving? It is likely that your plugins sdk doesn't have the correct build.${username}.properties settings in order to be valid. You need to make sure that in your Plugins SDK directory, the build.username.properties has this setting configured
