Hello Cody,
I have a quick question regarding pull request. On master branch we have Liferay 7 already and I suppose there is not many people from the community that could call themselves Liferay 7 Experts (maybe nobody in the whole world emoticon ). There is so many changes that even people knowing 6.x very well may have serious problems working with the latest version. Therefore wouldn't it be better if we could send you pull requests to 6.2.x / 6.1.x branches - the ones we know really well - and then somebody from Liferay, who has more experience with Liferay 7 could decide if it is this certain javadoc should go to master or rather stay at the other branch.

Regards,
KG

Hi Krzysztof,

This is a very good question. The focus right now is improving Liferay 7.0 and its documentation. I won't get into the nitty-gritty details, but our internal process for handling code submissions to the 6.2/6.1 branches is a bit different than for master, so sending changes to master and having them updated on the same branch is the best way. Therefore, I'd ask that the contributions still be sent to the master branch. Luckily, the knowledge for many of Liferay's 6.2 APIs are still applicable for Liferay 7.0. Component leads will be asked to review all submissions for accuracy, so if there are inaccuracies due to the new version, we'll be sure to change the Javadoc accordingly.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.
