Authentication Setting - Admin Portlet

Hi All,
I'm wondering if there is a way to take the authentication settings that were configured in the Enterprise Admin protlet, and put them into our portlet-ext.properties file to better facilitate movement between environments. Are these settings stored in the DB, or in a file?

This is an old post but i am new to liferay and i was wondering where are the settings that we set through control panel(especially CAS settings,LDAP settings etc stored).....is it stored in database or some file in liferay......i have tried looking in portlet_prefernces table in db but doesn't seem to figure out.....any help of any sort will be highly appreciated....thanks in advance
