Problem with file upload size
New Member Beiträge: 16 Beitrittsdatum: 23.09.10 Neueste Beiträge
Hello,
I had some issues with the file upload module available in the library portlet. I couldn't upload file with a size > 100Mo. I went into the control panel and changed the file upload variable to 1Go (just to test).
Now when i try to upload a file>100MO the following exception is raised in Tomcat:
I restarted tomcat and i still have the same error. I don't understand. Do I need to change a property elsewhere?
Regards

Your log tells that you've set 104857600 bytes limit, which is 100Mb not 1Gb.
May be you've made a little mistake? Check the property value, it should be 1048576000

Hi Aditi,
that value is handled as a long on Java level.

Sorry, you are right.
Setting max upload size in Control Panel for Liferay Portal 6.0 does not affect on upload servlet.
I've tried to set com.liferay.portal.upload.UploadServletRequestImpl.max.size=1048576000 in portal-ext.properties file and classic uploader succeed uploading 136Mb file. However modern uploader failed.
Seems to be a bug in Liferay.

Sorry, i'm pretty a beginner with liferay. Did you made an ext plugin and modified the portal-ext.properties and then you deployed it?
That's what i did and i stil can't upload with the classic uploader.
Besides, anyone have an idea on how to make both uploader works?

No, i didn't use ext-plugin. I've created a portal-ext.properties file in /WEB-INF/classes folder and then restarted Liferay. This file also can be placed in Liferay's home folder (next to Liferay's "deploy" and "data" folders) or user's profile.
I've searched an issue by the problem in Liferay's JIRA and found nothing.
