Sign in portlet is not displaying error at first attempt with wrong details

Hi Guys,

I have been facing issue with sign in portlet of liferay. I used this sign in portlet on one page and if i try to login with wrong credential then the portlet changes into maximized window state and no error message is displayed. But if i try to use wrong credentials second time then it displays error. Why is this happening ? why is not not showing error at first time?

Please help.

Any customizations done, like hooks?
Which version of Liferay are you using?

No i have not customized anything in login portlet. But other portlets i have customized. I am using liferay 6.2 ga2 CE
