Guidelines on Suggestions

Hi Everyone,

We're gathering suggestions made to improve various components of Liferay Portal. In order to make this more efficient we are going to ask that you use Wiki pages in conjunction with the Forums to define, support, and communicate various feature requests.

Here's the process we'd like you to follow:

• If you have an idea for an improvement, first look for the relevant Wiki page to see if it's already been requested.
• If it has been requested, feel free to add requirements or add more detail on the Wiki page itself. Or add a comment to voice your support for the feature.
• If the feature has not been requested, add a forum thread with your detailed requirements.
• Then, add a summarized version of your feature request to the Wiki page and link to the forum thread from there.

Also, if you find other posts suggesting features that would fall under the functional areas below, please do add them, and follow the convention of listing the feature in the Wiki page and linking back to the related forum thread. And please do your best not to list out a big laundry list of features. The more we keep features organized the easier it will be to manage the lists.

Why don't create Message Boards Subcategories to group suggestions for Blog, Wiki, MessageBoard, Document Management, and so on? Moreover in Wiki pages add tags (or a categories) "suggestion","improvements", "feature"?

to set up a huge website-project with many restrictions in only one community it would be great to see the following features implemented.
