RE: How to show a static page when liferay portal start up

Hi all,

I am new to Liferay. I want to view a static web page i.e. (No sign in, no tabs , etc.,) just contents of the page when the liferay portal start up.

Please share any ideas, to achieve this.

You can set the public home page to any page that you create. So you should create a page and remove the sign it, tabs etc from it and add a web content display portlet with whatever static content you want it to show. And set it as the home page.
Exact details depends on which version of the liferay you are using.

Thanks for your reply. But the sign in link is still shown in the liferay page. I need to show the web page that i was created. Can you say how to set the home page in the liferay portal start up.

It's probably included in theme that is applied. So you can either create your custom custom theme http://www.liferay.com/documentation/liferay-portal/6.0/development/-/ai/creating-liferay-them-5

or check the portal_normal.vm in the applied theme and edit it to remove the sign-in link.
