Modify main.js in a hook

Hi All,

I'm creating a hook for the Liferay portlet - workflow_tasks. I wanted to add a new (javascript) AUI module in its main.js file - yes, I wanted to modify this file.
Would this new changes be reflected in the hook after the modification has been made to the file? I know that hooks are use for modifying JSP and JSPF files and am not sure about JS files.

Any suggestions is welcome.
