Team Level view permissions on a portlet

The team level view permisions does not seem to be working. I am using 6.1 GA1 EE of liferay. I ma using SQL server for DB.

Here is the scenario I have a site “MySite” . On home tab of this site I have “My Sites” portlet and “weather” portlet. Under mysite I have 2 teams “students” and “admins”.
On my sites portlet from the configuration dialog -> permissions , I have unchecked the site members view permission. And gave the admins team view permission.
On weather portlet from the configuration dialog -> permissions , I have unchecked the site members view permission. And gave the students team view permission.
I have 2 users who belong to my site StuMem belongs to students team and AdmMem belongs to admins team.

Now the expected behavior is when StuMem logs in he should only see the weather portlet. When AdmMem logs in should only see my sites portlet.
But current behavior is when each of these users log in they are able to see both the portlets.

Could someone help me here ? am I missing something ?

NOTE: Except for view other permissions work the way expected.
