How to create a new instance of DDL as a new portlet

I want to use the Dynamic data list on everyone's own page. But they need to create and select and blablabla...
It is so complex. I just want the user could drag and drop then they could see the special portlet DDL there with a certain list.
I mean, I know the recordsetid.
I think it is need Hook, but how to do that?
Anyone could give me some idea?
