Installed 1.5b, not sure if working
New Member Beiträge: 2 Beitrittsdatum: 21.02.12 Neueste Beiträge
I downloaded Social Office 1.5b, setup a new Windows Server 2008 R2 VM, joined to my domain, and installed. After installing, I click on the 'Start' link and it gives a DOS terminal that ends with 'INFO: Server startup in 105ms'
However, the browser window never automatically opens, like the docs say. Moreover, I can't connect to http://localhost:8080 , which is what I read somewhere else. So, how do I tell if it's working correctly? And where do I go to begin configuring? Or where do I start my troubleshooting?
Thank you,
Steven

You installation probably is not working correctly.
You may have some error messages appearing before the above message. Check if you have any.

OK, I figured out it was because I wasn't running it as an administrator (even though my account is a Domain Admin account). I ran it from an admin terminal and it started up perfectly.
Now on to configuring this bad boy ...

That'll do it. Good to hear that it's up and working. Hope you enjoy using it.
