Roles and Permissions not reflecting in Liferay 5.2.3

Hi All,

I am using Liferay 5.2.3 , I am facing an issue with the Roles and Permissions given to Portlets.
These Permissions were working fine from last 1 year but suddenly from yesterday no changes to the roles/permissions are reflecting on the portlets.

(Eg: Have given permission to Add a Category only to Editors but now it is visible to all the users,which was earlier restricted.)

Can somebody please guide me in resolving this issue.

Hi All,

The permissions of two different roles got overridden,My issue got resolved by deleting the editor role and creating a new one.
But the root cause of why this issue occurred is still unknown.

Can anyone please help me find out the reason behind overlapping of roles and permissions.
