Implicit Owner Role

Still beating on the Document Library to determine if it is going to be usable for our enterprise needs. That being stated, I need to know if there is a way to change the implicit permissions inherent in the "owner" role.

I have been trying to figure out how to configure the application in a mannner so that a user with a "publishing" role that I have setup has the ability to add, delete, move, but NOT have access to change Permissions. In other words the "Permissions" option is not needed in the drop down when clicking the Actions button. Currently, it appears that any user who has the ability to create a new document or folder also has the right to change permissions. I need to eliminate this option.

Nah we're not that easily stumped ;)

It's not supported via configuration but by implementing your own permissionchecker i guess you could achieve this. For more information see my answer in this thread :
