opensocial auth-refresh?

Does anyone know if Liferay 6.0 or 6.1 supports the auth-refresh feature in opensocial/shindig? Our users get "malformed security token" errors if they stay on a page too long and a gadget refreshes. It appears that the time is hardcoded to 3600 seconds.

auth-refresh seems to be the feature we're looking for, but it doesn't appear to work in our 6.0 deployment.

I'm now trying to figure out the same issue in 6.1.1 CE.
