I have tried googling about this but haven't been able to get it clear in my mind. A bit of history as before 3 weeks ago I had never even heard of Liferay:
Current development environment is Liferay 4.1.6, Weblogic 10g, with a Liferay ext folder and a portlet war (there could be more, but I've only seen one so far)
Given this, where I would like to go (since I'm a Maven fanatic) is as the Subject states, port the 4.1.6 environment to a 6.0.6 mavenized deployable ear on Weblogic 11g.
I have already setup Maven to point to the public liferay 6.0.6 artifacts, I can deploy a "Hello World" (non Liferay) war using the weblogic-maven-plugin, but before I spend a week trying to build a Liferay 6.0.6 ear and deploy it on Weblogic 11g, I wanted to check if that would even be a supported configuration.
As a side note, I already have spent a day refactoring the 4.1.6 portlet code to 6.0.6 so I know what I'm in for once I start in earnest
