About Liferay Code Camp

Liferay Code Camp is a program that offers student developers the chance to write code for one of the most prevalent open source portal and collaboration software products. We will work with several students across Europe from diverse universities, who have a passion to transform innovative ideas into reality. Since Liferay's inception we have strived to create an easy to use, yet self-sufficient technology to address needs of individuals and companies alike. In our efforts we would like to find like-minded individuals who share the same passion as we do and would like to reward their efforts with attractive incentives and a chance to meet with some of the biggest minds in the IT world. Through Liferay Code Camp, accepted student applicants will be paired with one or more mentors to guide them through the projects, thus gaining exposure to real-world software development scenarios and the opportunity for employment in areas related to their academic pursuits. In turn, the participating projects will be able to easily identify and bring in new developers. Best of all, more source code will be created for the benefit of developers the world over.
