after deleting the jsp files under portlet folder, it is still running

I deleted the files under \tomcat-7.0.25\webapps\gMap-portlet\html, and also deleted all the files under temp folder, the portlet is still running well, any idea why?

There's also the work directory...

But you really shouldn't be doing this. Just undeploy or redeploy the update, but don't be whacking files partially from the webapp.

Better you delete that jsp from portlet only using plugin-sdk and redeploy it again which is best practices mentioned by liferay.

I assume that you're doing this in your development environment. I sometimes delete the jsp file directly too because it sometimes takes too much time to redeploy.

I delete the file in another project with similar project name.


Hope that you had a backup or that the file was unimportant. :-)
