I am working on resolving the issue I reported in LEP-5008, and to do so, I will need to modify some files in util-java in my ext environment. Since the ext only provides classes, ext-impl, ext-lib, ext-service, ext-web, lib, modules, output, tools and sql, how do I go about doing this?

I couldn't find a way to do this in EXT, so I just built from source and replaced the jar.

That's the way to go. At this moment it's not possible to override util classes in the ext env.
