Hi Everyone -

I'm a new to Liferay - developing a portal and likely creating a new portlet or two - and hope to be a good contributor to this community.

Question: does anyone know of an open-source project for conferencing? I'm looking for:
- voice conferencing, possibly using VOIP
- web conferencing, like webex, for PPT presentations and desktop sharing
- support online meetings for 2-5 attendees

Also - I'd be interested in collaborating with other parties to explore what it would take to build a web conferencing portlet for Liferay.

Tx, Andy

Quality of web conferencing is major concern in open source conferencing software's such as bigbluebutton, dimdim etc. Only Voice conferencing can be achieved by Polycom. However, if you are looking for a combined web / video conferencing using VOIP, you may consider having on premise web conferencing appliance such as rhubcom.com
