I accidentally turned off guest viewing permissions on the signin page on my base instance, but need to get back in. For this thread, I'll call the "base instance" AAA.BBBBBB.com

Before accidentally turning off guest viewing permissions, I was able to create two virtual hosts, called www-AAA.BBBBBB.com and billing-AAA.BBBBBB.com, and I'm able to log in to those just fine.

So, is there anyway to "back door" the instance so I can turn on guest viewing privileges on the signin page?

Thanks in advance!

Hi try using a url with /c/portal/login like http://localhost:8080/c/portal/login

Login as admin and reassign the permissions

Hello, thanks for responding!

Putting /c/portal/login on the URL does not change the error. I wonder if I need to hack the database somehow.

Thanks.

I have exactly the same problem here. Removed guest permissions from the guest page, and now I can´t login; no matter what page you access (and that DOES include /c/portal/login), I always get the "You do not have permission to view this page". Everyone is now completely locked out from the portal. Any ideas?

*** EDIT ***

Found a VERY UGLY workaround:

insert into roles_permissions
SELECT
10120 as roleId,
p.permissionId
FROM permission_ p
left join roles_permissions rp on rp.roleId = 10120
and rp.permissionId = p.permissionId
where rp.roleId is Null
and p.actionId = 'VIEW';

Assuming your "Guest" role is 10120, this will give every single viewing permission to the Guest. Log in, and then correct the permissions.

That sql seems great on the face of it except that the Permission_ table is empty...so is Roles_Permissions.
