Which do you think is better for portlet development?

ICEfaces need a bridge, copy temporary permissions an thinks like that.

Vaadin does not have push technology, but it seems Liferay has embraced in some way Vaadin technology.

What do you think about them?

Thanks

Icefaces bases on Jsf but Vaadin is GWT-like. So it depends on the situation where jsf is used everywhere, we should choose Icefaces

For a in depth look on ICE Faces - Vaadin comparison, see http://vaadin.com/wiki/-/wiki/Main/Comparing%20Vaadin%20with%20Icefaces. In the article, one portlet (email application) was developed both in Vaadin (called IT Mill Toolkit back then) and ICE Faces. For the both versions backend took equal amount of work, but UI part was developed with Vaadin a lot faster.

Nice comparison but wouldn't really say in depth ;)

However keep up the good work Joonas!
