Hi friends,

I was just using Liferay 6.2 for building a Portlet Project in newest Lifersy 6.2. It is just awesome, but I have noticed that whenever I was clicking something in Liferay portlet (like Control Panel -> Users & Organizations -> Edit) in the time of navigating it used CPU upto 98/100%. After landing/navigating to the page it again released CPU. The navigation process is taking a lot of time due to CPU thing.

Is there any tuning procedure for this?

Thanks & Regards,
Surodip

Hi Surodip,

I have noticed the same thing on my machine -- but for me it only occurs the first time I load the page. I didn't monitor the CPU to be honest, but I can hear the machine fan working hard and the page does take some time to return. I chalked it up to the first time accessing the page so not necessarily Liferay that is working hard but more likely Tomcat doing the initial JSP compilation. Subsequent requests to the same pages are lightning fast.

Have you noticed a speed improvement after the first load?
