I not sure what exactly you are asking .
But here is an exmaple of how to submit an action with parameters on Link Click

 1
 2<a href="<portlet:actionURL windowState="<%= WindowState.MAXIMIZED.toString() %>">
 3                            <portlet:param name="struts_action" value="/payment_config/save" />
 4                            <portlet:param name="id" value="<%= String.valueOf(payment.getPaymentId()) %>" />
 5                            <portlet:param name="<%= Constants.CMD %>" value="<%= Constants.DELETE %>" />
 6                 </portlet:actionURL>"
 7      onclick="return confirm('Are you sure you want to delete?')">
 8
 9                                    <img src="<%= themeDisplay.getPathThemeImages() %>/common/delete.png">
10
11</a>

Hi,

in the input field "query string" you can pass http parameters to the selected page with the following format:
"?param1=123&param2=abc"

Hello, I had tried dozens of permutations in the "manage pages" page settings for Query String but can not get this to work. I have javascript in a portlet which tries to retrieve the value but it is getting nothing back on the initial page load. I tested the javascript on it's own (and in a portlet which pro grammatically sets the query-string and it appears to be working ok. Anyone got this working? Is it a known bug? Is there some master setting to enable?

What, if i want to use this feature im combination with the forwarding feature.

Example:

There is an url, www.foo.de/bar. In control center the site "bar" is defined as an url with an forwarding adress, for example www.foo2.de/everything/is/right

The URL www.foo.de/bar is used with parameters, like www.foo.de/bar?code=foobar and this parameter should be forwarded like this www.foo2.de/everything/is/right?code=foobar.

How i could do this with configuration of liferay?

Thanks!

is the query string still working in liferay 6.0.5 or do you need to alter portal-ext.properties to get it going?

Nope, there are no settings to configure.
all you need to do is:
1. On manage pages within the field "Query String" type in : myParam=123
2. If your template is within a theme and the request type is derived from a httpservlet request use : #set($myParam = $request.getParameter('myParam'))
3. If your template is not within a theme and the request is derived from an other class, try something like: #set($myParam = $request.get("parameters").get("myParam"))

I have the same problem. I use Manage Page and, by Advanced feature, set a query string, but this doesn't work.
The query string is never appended to the url.

I resolved the problem deleting the "?" symbol from the queryString , the queryString should initiate with the parameters directly.
