Hi all,

We are trying to use nested portlets and first it seems that everything is working OK. We place to portlets, navigation and article inside one portlet. If we go into some other page and then back, the other portlet does not stay inside the nested one......

Anyone had the same problem?

OK, so it seems that if the inner portlet is too wide - it does not fit into the outer portlet and jumps outside...... strange that it does not scale the inner portlet automatically.........

Has anyone else noticed this behaviour?

Lari,

This has caused me a lot of frustration too and I have just posted about it. It would save me a lot of time if this worked correctly. What it means is that I have to do with one Web Content portlet and code a page of HTML to give me what I want.
This is not much use for the administrator of the CMS who want's to update the content herself.

Did you ever get any other responses?

Regards
Phil

Hi Philip,

No I didn't get any responses, but I was able to get rid of the problem by making the outer portlet bigger (wider)

Hi Lari,

Where are you making the Nested Content portlet bigger?

I am just using Configuration link in the portlets I want to nest and using the portlet ids to adjust the width to very small eg 100px to make sure they fit but they are still jumping out.

Is there something special I have to do?
