Is it possible to integrate liferay CE with salesforce.com? or should I get Liferay EE?

Liferay EE has practically the same set of features as CE.
If you want integrate your specific applications with some external providers you may use ESB, e.g. Mule, it has SalesForce connectors.

Mostly it is subject to your client considerations regarding formality of support arrangements and legal/indemnity backing.
When it comes to functionality and bug fixes it is easier to deal with CE package, 'support for EE' is just a formal tick for the bosses and does not come as a real technical support.
