Hi,

While upgrading from Liferay 5.1.2 to 5.2.1, the data in db (ORACLE) is lost.

How can this be fixed ?

Thanks

Did you remove the 7cogs hook from the webapps folder (if you used the tomcat bundle)

it's the 7cogs-hook folder in the tomcat/webapps folder. If it exists and you start tomcat, it will load the data from the example website into your database.

The 7Cogs hook will nuke your data. You should restore your DB from backup, remove the hook and re-run the upgrade.

I first removed the 7Cogs hook and then started the server.

Although i am able to see the data in users_ table after the upgrade script is run, but cannot see a entry in the User section of the Control panel.

But i can see the users from the assign member interface of the Organization

Why is thst so ?

I've seen over the forum the same thing happening to another guy, an this was solved by "Reindexing " some data manually through one option in the Administration interface.
