Hello,

I am trying to setup a journal portlet editor, reviewer, and publisher roles. The problem is that when I create the role and am trying to define permissions for the journal portlet it does not appear in the list of available portlet. My group has upgraded liferay several times and I suspect that during one of our upgrades that something went haywire. I have verified that the journal portal does show up in standard versions of liferay. My initial thought is that there is something that needs to be changed in liferay-portlet.xml but I am not sure... any help with this issue would be grewatly appreciated.

(see the attached images to see what I am talking about)

Thanks in advance,

Brian

I found the solution to this for anyone who has a similar problem...

look at portlet-ext.xml and liferay-portlet-ext.xml.

I believe that these two files didn't get updated properly when upgrading to version 4.4. I compared my files to the source code and made the appropriate changes.
