Hi All,

I am new to Liferay. I have also read other Forums before writting this.

I am planning to use Liferay as a Single Sign-on tool, as a OpenID tool(OpenID implementation provider) and as a user management system for my Application. I will create custome Web - Service (Or using REST APIs) and provide APIs to my application. My web-application will call APIs (implemented in custome web-services inside Liferay). This way i am planning to use Single Sign-on, OpenID and user management functionality inside my application.

I have set of Questions ?

1) Is this approach practicaly possible?
2) Can i use Liferay as a Single Sign-on tool? if yes How?
3) Can i use Liferay as a OpenID tool(OpenID provider)? if yes How?
(4) Can I create custome web services on Liferay (by which I can expose the Liferay APIs to other web application)? If yes, please let me know the detailed procedure on how to do the same? Is Axis 2.0 supported in Liferay to create custome webservices?
(5) Is REST technology supported in Liferay? If yes and if custome webservices creation is possbile, then can I create REST APIs on these custom webservices?
(6) Can I directly use the REST technology (no intermidiate webservices) in Liferay to create the APIs which will call the Liferay APIs?

Please reply me as early as possible. It will realy help me a lot.

For SSO and Liferay, you may be interested in these real examples.

For RESTful, check web sites.
